As this new site comes together I want it to tell the whole story of inBooks. How did I get here? How did I develop the concepts, philosophies and methods we now use in budgeting?
It certainly didn’t happen overnight and I left a trail of writings and classes along the way. I just put up my three earliest pieces of media on the subject and as I run across more I’ll add them too.
Back in 2011 I was the director of a nonprofit in Cleveland, OH called Mesila Cleveland. That was under the umbrella of Mesila, which is based in Israel. And my program was run under the auspices of the Jewish Family Services Association of Cleveland, a large nonprofit offering multiple services to the Cleveland community.
When I started my job as director of Mesila Cleveland I had never spoken in public, had never written anything for public consumption and was terrified of marketing and selling. Those were all weaknesses I brought to the job and left behind there.
Check out the media page for my first two articles on the topic of budgeting and my first seminar. Check back soon for more materials as I tell the story of inBooks: Insourced Bookkeeping for Nonprofits.
